It’s been a big week for Lil Baby and this new collab just put the icing on the cake!

Chris Brown has released his long-awaited tenth studio album ‘Breezy’ and Atlanta’s own, Lil Baby, is featured on the song “Addicted.” It’s been three years since Brown’s last project “Indigo” in 2019 but he came back swinging with features that include Lil Wayne, Jack Harlow, H.E.R., Lil Durk, Ella Mai and more.

Lil Baby has been a very busy man – in addition to being featured on Brown’s album, he’s had several other big announcements in these past few weeks. Earlier this month, it was announced that Lil Baby was releasing a documentary, exclusively with Amazon Prime Video, “Untrapped: The Story of Lil Baby.” The documentary made its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival. His story is an interesting one; he was heavily involved in a “street” lifestyle before he was arrested and sent to prison. When he was released at the age of 21 in 2016, he was faced with the choice of returning to his old ways or try his luck at a rap career. Lil Baby of course chose the latter and after putting in the work, landed himself a debut album, “My Turn” that peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. We’ll be able to see a lot of that backstory in the Amazon Prime Video exclusive documentary, which will be released on August 26.

This week, Lil Baby hit us with a triple threat. First, he was announced as the Songwriter of the Year for ASCAP’s Rhythm and Soul Music Awards. This is Lil Baby’s second consecutive win for the award. Over the past few years, he’s written multiple hits, including “On Me,” “The Bigger Picture” and “Every Chance I Get.” Right after that, The ONE Musicfest announced their all-star lineup, with Lil Baby serving as a headliner. The show will also feature Atlanta natives Gucci Mane, Jeezy and Rich Homie Quan, along with City Girls, Ja Rule, Ashanti and a special performance by Lauryn Hill.

Of course, the Chris Brown feature ended the week of announcements on a fantastic note and now we can only sit in anticipation of what Lil Baby will do next!
