Free art show unveils Atlanta creative’s custom three-wheel motorcycle design
Calling all car and art enthusiasts alike!
The Blank Canvas art show coming to Atlanta this weekend will merge the two worlds of cars and culture. The show will unveil a three-wheeled Polaris Slingshot custom-wrapped by an Atlanta artist. The Batmobile-like vehicle is serving as the ultimate canvas for the free event happening June 3-5 at The Interlock Atlanta (1115 Howell Mill Rd NW) from 7 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. on Friday, 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. Sunday.
The featured designer is Marina Skye (Set by Skye), an Atlanta-based creative director and set designer. The renowned artist has designed sets for music videos, clothing stores, restaurants and more as a creative director. In 2017, she started her business “Set by Skye,” and has created moods for 21 Savage, Big Boi and T.I.’s Trap Music Museum.
Blank Canvas Atlanta presented her with the ultimate platform for self-expression and creativity: transforming a Slingshot into an iconic work of art while bringing her ode to Atlanta to life.
“Every single piece of this is hand-drawn, this is my love letter to Atlanta in a coloring book form,” Skye told Access Atlanta.
Originally from Los Angeles, Skye made the move to Atlanta to pursue higher education at Clark Atlanta University.
“When I was creating the canvas I thought about my journey here, the things that made me fall in love with the city, and how I could create that in an animated form,” Skye said.
When we visited her at work on the creation, Skye told us the canvas was 80% finished, and she was “inviting my friends, family and supporters to literally color in the canvas... I wanted to do something interactive, something fun and a life-sized coloring book is perfect.”

As for what’s next for Skye – from planning to open a brand new creative space in Underground to collaborations around the city, there’s plenty to keep up with on her journey.
