New video games out this week

"Super Mario Maker." In this sandbox game from Nintendo, players can edit and create their own levels from games including "Super Mario Bros.," "Super Mario Bros. 3," "Super Mario World" and "New Super Mario Bros. U.," then play through them. It uses the Wii U gamepad's touch controls and includes lots of minigames and surprises. Rated E for Everyone. $60 for Nintendo Wii U.

"Tearaway Unfolded." A follow up to the late 2013 indie critical darling for the PlayStation Vita, this version for the PlayStation 4 set in a paper world makes special use of the DualShock 4 controller, allowing players to use it like a torch and to play catch with the TV. Rated E for Everyone. $40, for PS4.
