The end is nigh for voting on panels for South by Southwest 2016. Though the official date for wrapping up the PanelPicker process for Interactive, Music and Film, as well as SXSW.edu, is slated to end Friday night, it's likely the deadline will be extended to Sunday, as is traditional.

On Tuesday, the first keynote speaker and more programming is expected to be announced for Interactive.

Previously SXSW Interactive announced a batch of featured speakers that included author Gretchen Rubin and U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx. SXSWi also announced new plans for SXSW Gaming, which will move back to the Austin Convention Center after several years at Palmer Events Center, and will also shift to later in the week, after the main portion of SXSW Interactive concludes and overlapping with SXSW Music.

The SXSW Interactive website has been doing a series of blog posts about PanelPicker trends, such as the growth of health-related proposals and panels related to "Artificial," design and delivery-on-demand. You can find a lot of those blog posts at this link.
