This Sunday, April 5 is Easter. There is no shortage of egg hunts and other free events to help you celebrate. Here are a few:
Egg Hunts
Brookhaven Easter Egg Hunt: The public is invited to a free egg hunt at Blackburn Park on Saturday, April 4 for the city's first Easter Egg Hunt. There will be breakfast treats served at 9 a.m., and the egg hunt begins around 9:30 a.m. with three different start times based on age groups. The event which ends at 11 a.m. is free of charge and includes prizes, candy, a bounce house, face painting and a visit from the Easter Bunny for photo opportunities. City of Milton Egg Hunt: Join the city for a day of fun on Saturday April 4 with egg hunts for all ages beginning at 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Friendship Community Park. Local businesses will be on hand and events will include games, face painting, music and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Enjoy treats from food trucks and a display of vehicles and equipment from the Milton Police and Fire Departments. The Community Egg Hunt is free, and no sign up is necessary.
Museums
Bank of America Museums on Us: Spend time with the family on Easter Sunday with the "Museums on Us" program. Bank of America and Merrill Lynch debit and credit cardholders get free admission to museums the first weekend of the month. In the metro area this includes the High Museum of Art, The Atlanta History Center and the Center for Civil and Human Rights currently exhibiting the 'I Make a Difference' program where families can create a poster of community helpers and work together to find ways to make their lives healthier and happier. Current exhibitions at the High Museum include "Earl Pardon's Portable Art: Jewelry and Design."
MODA: Visit MODA for free this Sunday will be free this Sunday for the final day of "Sustainable Shelter: Dwelling Within the Forces of Nature." Hours are from 12-6 p.m. MODA, 1315 Peachtree Street, Atlanta. 404-979-6455.
