Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater returns to the Fox Theatre from Feb. 11 – Feb. 15.

The tickets will be for the Feb. 11. show at 8 p.m. The evening features Night Creature, After the Rain Pas de Deux, Suspended Women, Takademe and Revelations. For the first time, opening night is designated as Ailey fan night, when all tickets will be offered at $25.

Additional performances during the five-day run include the Atlanta premiere of ODETTA, a tribute to singer Odetta Holmes once called “the queen of American folk music” by Martin Luther King, Jr. Company premieres will introduce Ailey audiences to ballets by choreographers such as Jacqulyn Buglisi, a former Martha Graham dancer, whose works are being performed by Ailey for the first time.
Here is the updated schedule for the additional performances:
Thursday, Feb. 12 at 10:30 a.m. (student performance): Night Creature movements II & III, Revelations.
Thursday, Feb. 12 at 8 p.m.: Bad Blood, ODETTA, Revelations. Students with ID can get $10 tickets (limit two). Friday, Feb. 13 at 8 p.m.: Night Creature, After the Rain Pas de Deux, Suspended Women, Takademe, Revelations.
Saturday, Feb. 14 at 2 p.m.: Polish Pieces, Awassa Astrige/Ostrich, Grace, Revelations. For each full-price ticket purchased, a second ticket can be purchased for half-price. Following the performance, the entire audience is welcome to join in a free Q&A session with select Ailey dancers.
Saturday, Feb. 14 at 8 p.m.: Bad Blood, ODETTA, Revelations.
Sunday, Feb. 15 at 3 p.m.: Polish Pieces, Awassa Astrige/Ostrich, Grace, Revelations
