This is the best time of the year for grocery coupons! You will find twice as many grocery coupons in the AJC circulars in January as compared to the summer vacation months. Take advantage of more coupons to get your 2015 savings off to a great start.

Both food manufacturers and grocery stores know that many shoppers want to get healthier and save money at the beginning of the year, so they typically have healthy and diet food coupons and sales in January. Here are some good coupon deals to help you meet both goals of getting healthier and saving money.

Popcorn, yogurt, popped rice, oatmeal, fruit snacks: Publix has Jolly Time Healthy Pop Microwave Popcorn (3-4 count) on sale for $1.25. Use the 65-cent coupon from the Jan. 11 RedPlum to pay 60 cents each, or only 15 cents per batch. Yoplait yogurt (4- to 6-ounce cups) is on sale for 50 cents each. Because Publix doubles coupons that are 50 cents and less, you can use the 50-cents-off-eight coupon from the Jan. 4 SmartSource to pay 38 cents each. Quaker Popped Rice Snacks (3.52 ounces) are on sale for $1 each. Use the $1-off-two coupon from the Jan. 4 RedPlum to pay 50 cents each. Quaker Select Starts Premium Instant Oatmeal (13.5 ounce) is on sale for $2.50. Use the $1 coupon from the Jan. 11 RedPlum to pay $1.50. Dole Fruit Squish'ems four-pack is on sale for $1.40 each. Use the 50-cent coupon from the Jan. 4 SmartSource to pay 40 cents each. Mariani Premium Fruit Crunch or Tropical Pineapple Dried Fruit (5-6 ounce) is on sale for $2. Use the 50-cent coupon from the Jan. 4 SmartSource to pay $1 each.

Yogurt, vitamins: Muller Corner Greek yogurts 5.3 oz. are on sale for $1 each. Use the $1-off-five coupon from the Jan. 4 RedPlum to pay 80 cents each. Nature Made vitamins are "buy one, get one free." Use the $2-off-two coupon from the Jan. 4 SmartSource to save more.

Snack bars: Kellogg's Special K snack bars and crisps are on sale at Kroger for $1.99 each. Use the $1-off-three coupon from the Jan. 4 RedPlum to pay $1.66 each. South Beach Diet snack bars (five count) are on sale for $4. Use the $1 coupon from the Jan. 4 SmartSource to pay $3 each.

Progresso: Walgreens has Progresso Soup (19-ounce cans) on sale for $1.25 each when you buy four. Use two of the 50-cents-off-two coupons from the Jan. 4 SmartSource to pay $1 per can at the register. You will get 1,000 Balance Rewards points worth $1.25, so your net cost per can will be 69 cents. Selected Kellogg's cereals are on sale for $1.99 each. Use the $1-off-three coupon from the Jan. 11 RedPlum to pay $1.66 each.

Stouffer's, turkey bacon: Kroger has selected Stouffer's Lean Cuisine entrees on sale for $1.67 each. Use the $1-off-five coupon from the Jan. 4 SmartSource to pay $1.47 each. Butterball turkey bacon (12 ounce) is on sale for $2.50. Use the 55-cents-off-one coupon from the Jan. 4 SmartSource to pay $1.95.
