Seekers of natural and organic foods now have another shopping option in the metro area.

Earth Fare will open its first store in metro Atlanta on Wednesday, Jan. 14.

The new store is in the Interlochen Shopping Center, 5270 Peachtree Parkway, Peachtree Corners (in the former Office Max space).

The 40-year-old North Carolina based store offers local and organic fruits and vegetables, a full-service meat, poultry and seafood department with antibiotic-free options, a cheese department and an on-site bakery featuring goods made from scratch.

There are also prepared food options including a hot bar and salad bar and a wellness section featuring vitamins, natural remedies and natural cosmetics and skin care.

Daily specials include $5 Sushi Wednesday and $5 Rotisserie Chicken Fridays. Shoppers can also save by signing up for emails and joining the Tomato Bank — the store loyalty program.

Earth Fare also has its own line of branded products featuring everything from juices to pasta and more. Many local brands are stocked in store such as Sweet Grass Dairy, and 75 to 80% of everything in the store is organic. Customers seeking gluten-free options will find them flagged on shelves and in freezer cases.

Grand opening events begin at 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday and continue through the weekend with family friendly activities such as face painting, balloon artists, food samples, music and more.

Regular store hours are 8 a.m. – 9 p.m., Monday – Friday and 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Sundays.

This is the first of three Earth Fare stores opening in metro Atlanta. Later this year, look for locations at Emory Point and Cumming.
