It’s dry and warm outside, but that could change later in the week.

Currently, the temperature is 86 degrees, according to Channel 2 Action News. Temps reached a high of 93 degrees, just missing the expected high of 94. The average high for this time of year is 89.

There is a 20 percent chance of rain. Showers won’t, however, be widespread, according to Channel 2.

Friday could see an increased chance of rain.

Expect a 30 percent chance of rain in the afternoon with a high of 94 degrees. Rain should enter metro Atlanta about 3 p.m. but should last through 6 p.m., Channel 2 Chief meteorologist Glenn Burns said.

Friday only marks the start of an expected rain trend that should last through Tuesday, Channel 2 reported.
