This is no April Fools’ Day joke. For the many people in metro Atlanta who have suffered because of the high pollen counts recently, here’s some good news. The figure Saturday has receded into triple figures for the first time since late March.

Saturday’s count is 926 particles of pollen per cubic meter of air, according to Atlanta Allergy and Asthma.

In general, Saturday’s weather should be enjoyable, with a high of 76 expected and no chance of rain, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brian Monahan.

Sunday should be nice, too, with a high of 79 forecast.

However, “a severe weather threat is moving in Monday to early Tuesday,” Monahan said. There’s an “isolated tornado risk” and a 90 percent chance of rain expected then, he said.

About 5:45 p.m., temps were at 76 in Atlanta, 81 in Griffin and 71 in Blairsville.
