It’s not quite sweater weather in metro Atlanta, but do consider wearing long sleeves.

Temperatures on Friday are expected to drop to their lowest point this week, according to Channel 2 Action News.

According to the latest forecast, Atlanta could see a low of 54 degrees and Blairsville could wake up to temperatures in the mid-40s.

“It’s looking really quite nice for all of us to enjoy a little bit of cool, dry fall air,” Channel 2 meteorologist Karen Minton said.

Lows are expected to remain in the 50s through Sunday.

“In your five-day forecast, I see sunshine all the way through early next week,” Minton said.

There’s a possibility highs could return to the 80s Saturday and stay there though Monday, she said.

Temps were 76 degrees in Atlanta, 68 in Blairsville and 77 in Griffin just before 2:15 p.m.
