Goodbye mundane, stationary gyms. There's a new fitness vessel in town.

The Paris Navigating Gym developed by Carlo Ratti Associati in partnership with Technogym, Terreform ONE and URBEM is 20 meters long, can host up to 45 people and moves along the Seine River with energy harnessed from passengers' workouts.

"It's fascinating to see how the energy generated by a workout at the gym can actually help to propel a boat," Carlo Ratti, a founding partner of the company behind the vessel, said. "It provides one with a tangible experience of what lies behind the often abstract notion of 'electric power'."
