Vikings running back Dalvin Cook went down with a non-contact knee injury in the third quarter of Sunday's game vs. Detroit.

Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook suffered a torn ACL during Sunday night’s loss to the Detroit Lions, coach Mike Zimmer said on Monday.

In four games with Vikings, Cook recorded 354 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

“I expect him to come back and be the same that he was," Zimmer said, according to USA Today Sports.

The rookie who was a second-round pick out of Florida State, was second in the NFL in rushing before suffering his season-ending injury.

Zimmer said the Vikings were looking at all options to replace Cook, including the possibility of seeking outside help. Running back Latavius Murray could also be responsible for most of the carries in Cook’s absence.

In three seasons at FSU, Cook rushed for 4,464 yards and 46 touchdowns while receiving for 935 yards and two touchdowns.
