St. Lucie Mets outfielder Tim Tebow won the second game of a doubleheader against the Daytona Tortugas on Thursday with a walk-off solo home run.

In his first walk-off home run since high school, the former Heisman Trophy winner blasted the ball to left field in the bottom of the seventh to give the Mets a 5-4 win.

In his 15 games with the Mets' high-A St. Lucie team since he was promoted on June 25, Tebow has recorded a .327 batting average, three home runs, 10 RBIs and an on-base plus slugging percentage of .972.

Tebow, the designated hitter for Thursday’s game, went 2-for-3 at the plate during the second game. St. Lucie, the high Class A affiliate in the Mets’ minor league system, won the first game of Thursday’s doubleheader 1-0 at St. Lucie's First Data Field.

St. Lucie (40-48) plays the final game of the series against the Tortugas on Friday at 6:30 p.m. from First Data Field.

Tebow now has more Minor League home runs than successful multi-sport athletes Russell Wilson (5), John Elway (4) and Michael Jordan (3).
