My choice for man of the match for Atlanta United after Saturday’s 3-1 loss at Vancouver:

JULIAN GRESSEL

Midfielder

Why? His assist led to Greg Garza's opening goal, his first for the team. It was the rookie's fifth assist this season.

Gressel, a native of Germany, had two tackles and won three fouls. He completed just 52.4 percent of his passes, though.
