On Wednesday morning, President Donald Trump criticized the NFL for not implementing a rule requiring players to stand for the national anthem.

“The NFL has decided that it will not force players to stand for the playing of our National Anthem. Total disrespect for our great country!” Trump tweeted.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported during Tuesday’s meeting between NFL owners, the NFLPA and players held at NFL headquarters in New York, no decision was reached on player protests.

“If the expectation was getting closure on the anthem issue for the NFL, there will be disappointment. Nothing final today, it sounds like,” Rapoport wrote.
