The Pittsburgh Steelers announced the signing of wide receiver Justin Thomas on Wednesday.

Since going undrafted in April, the former Georgia Tech quarterback has had stints with the Los Angeles Rams and the New Orleans Saints.

Thomas signed a deal to play wide receiver with the Rams on Aug 3, but was waived on Friday. Thomas also signed as a wide receiver with the Saints in May after a rookie mini-camp, but was released on July 29.

In four seasons at Georgia Tech, Thomas passed for 4,748 yards, 40 touchdowns and 18 interceptions and rushed for 2,409 yards and 22 touchdowns.

The Steelers currently have nine wide receivers on the team's official depth chart.
