1. Braves beat Rockies, 4-3

The Atlanta Braves defeated the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday night at Coors Field by capitalizing on an error by Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado in the eighth inning. On Braves catcher Tyler Flowers' two-out grounder, Arenado missed his target at first base which allowed Brandon Phillips to score from second. The Braves and Rockies play the third game in the four-game Coors Field on Wednesday at 8:40 p.m.

3. Injury on Georgia Tech offensive line

Ken Sugiura reported offensive tackle Andrew Marshall and backup linebacker David Curry will not play against Tennessee on Sept. 4 due to lower body injuries. More on the AJC.com.

4. Atlanta being considered as host city for 2026 FIFA World Cup

The city of Atlanta and Mercedes-Benz Stadium were on a list of potential host cities and venues for the 2026 FIFA World Cup released by the United Bid Committee of the United States, Canada and Mexico on Tuesday.

5. Dream fall to Sun

The Atlanta Dream lost their eighth-straight game on Tuesday night with a 96-75 loss to the Connecticut Sun. Rookie Brittney Sykes scored 23 points against the Sun, her fifth game of over 20 points this season. The Dream travel to Arlington, Texas to play the Dallas Wings on Saturday at 8 p.m.
