1. Braves start series with Nationals

The Atlanta Braves begin a three-game series at Suntrust Park against the Washington Nationals on Tuesday at 7:35 p.m. The Braves have six home games remaining this season.

2. Kickoff time for UNC at Georgia Tech announced

Georgia Tech and North Carolina will kick off at noon on Sept. 30. Details can be read on the AJC.com.

3. Kirby Smart says Jacob Eason recovering nicely

Seth Emerson reports Georgia coach Kirby Smart said sophomore quarterback Jacob Eason is on the mend after suffering a knee injury in the Bulldogs' season opener. Smart said he's evaluating when Eason will take reps in practice.

4. Falcons valued at nearly $2.5 billion

According to Forbes' annual valuations of NFL teams, the Atlanta Falcons are worth $2.475 billion. More on the AJC.com.

5. Braves spring training facility final cost revealed

Tim Tucker reports the final vote on the Atlanta Braves spring training facility is on Tuesday and the cost is more than $100 million.
