Here’s five things to know on Friday:

1. Hawks draft John Collins, Tyler Dorsey and Alpha Kaba

With the 19th overall pick, the Atlanta Hawks drafted Wake Forest power forward John Collins on Thursday night in the 2017 NBA Draft. With their two second-round picks, the Hawks drafted Oregon shooting guard Tyler Dorsey at No. 41 and power forward Alpha Kaba. Kaba, from France, played for Mega Bemax in Serbia.

2. Braves beat Giants, 12-11

The Atlanta Braves defeated the San Francisco Giants 12-11 on Thursday night from SunTrust Park. The Braves scored eight runs in the bottom of the fifth and held on through a five-run rally by the Giants in the eighth and ninth innings. David O'Brien reports both outfielder Matt Kemp and second baseman Brandon Phillips left Thursday's game after injuries. Both are listed day-to-day, according to the team. The Braves begin a three-game home series over the weekend against the Milwaukee Brewers. Friday night's game is scheduled to begin at 7:35 p.m.

3. Okogie earns spot on USA Basketball's U19 team

Georgia Tech guard Josh Okogie made the 12-man roster for USA Basketball's U19 team headed to the 2017 FIBA World Cup in July. Okogie is the first Yellow Jacket to compete on a USA team in international competition since Chris Bosh competed in the 2008 Olympics.

4. Atlanta United to play Colorado Rapids

Atlanta United will face off against the Colorado Rapids on Saturday night at Bobby Dodd Stadium. Ahead of Saturday's match, Doug Roberson writes what Atlanta United must do to regroup from Wednesday's loss to D.C. United. Saturday's match is set to begin at 7 p.m.

5. Braves, Brewers to be broadcast on Facebook

Friday night's Braves-Brewers game will be broadcast on Facebook as part of a 20-game initiative between MLB and Facebook.
