Here are a few things to know on Thursday:

1. Braves swept by Cubs

The Atlanta Braves fell to the Chicago Cubs 8-2 on Wednesday afternoon at SunTrust Park. The Braves hit two home runs on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough to come close to the Cubs' power at the plate. The Braves begin a four-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday from Los Angeles' Dodger Stadium. Thursday's game will begin at 10:10 p.m. ET.

2. Atlanta United to play Orlando City

Atlanta United and Orlando City will face off on Friday night at Orlando City Stadium. To set the mood for this weekend's match, an Atlanta United billboard was put up in downtown Orlando. Friday's match will begin at 7 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN.

3. What's going on with Devonta Freeman's contract?

D. Orlando Ledbetter report where the Atlanta Falcons and running back Devonta Freeman stand in Freeman's ongoing contract negotiations.

4. Dedrick Mills named to preseason All-ACC team

Georgia Tech B-back Dedrick Mills was named to the preseason All-ACC team on Wednesday. The only Yellow Jacket named to the list, Mills led the Yellow Jackets in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns last season.
