Here’s a few things to know on Friday:

1. Freddie Freeman out with broken wrist

It was announced on Thursday afternoon that Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman suffered a fractured left wrist and is expected to be out for up to 10 weeks. Freeman was hit by a pitch during Wednesday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays and did not return.

2. Braves lose, Teheran struggles

The Atlanta Braves lost 9-0 to the Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday night in the second game of the two-game home series. David O'Brien recapped the game and pitcher Julio Teheran's struggles at SunTrust Park. The Braves begin a three-game home series against the Washington Nationals on Friday night. Friday's game is scheduled to begin at 7:35 p.m.

3. Kevin Pillar apologized to Braves, is suspended

Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Pillar apologized for his use of a gay slur directed at Atlanta Braves pitcher Jason Motte during Wednesday night's game. It was announced on Thursday evening that Motte was suspended for two games without pay for his actions.

4. Atlanta United returns to Bobby Dodd Stadium

Atlanta United will play inside Georgia Tech's Bobby Dodd Stadium on Saturday against the Houston Dynamo. Captain Michael Parkhurst is interviewed about Atlanta United's first home game since playing D.C. United on April 30. Saturday's game kicks off at 7 p.m.

5. Nick Saban, Dan Quinn discussed National Championship, Super Bowl collapses

After both Alabama coach Nick Saban and Atlanta Falcons coach Dan Quinn's teams collapsed in the fourth quarter of their respective championship games last season, Saban said the two coaches discussed what could be learned from the mistakes. More on the AJC.com.
