Former Chicago Bears cornerback Charles Tillman is training to become an FBI agent, according to a report by the Chicago Tribune.

ESPN reported Tillman, 36, is currently at the FBI Training Academy in Quantico, Va.

Tillman has a degree in criminal justice from Louisiana-Lafayette and had interest in joining law enforcement during his playing career, according to ESPN.

In his 13 seasons in the NFL, Tillman recorded 38 interceptions, nine touchdowns, 141 deflected passes, 44 forced fumbles and three sacks.

Tillman, whose father Donald Tillman Jr. is a sergeant in the Army, also earned two Pro Bowl nods and was named the 2013 NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year.

Tillman retired as a Bear in 2016 after signing a one day contract. Tillman played his last season in 2015 with the Carolina Panthers.
