After withdrawing his initial verbal commitment, Peach County High School linebacker JaQuez Jackson recommitted to Georgia Tech on Thursday.

Jackson, originally the first member of Tech’s 2018 recruiting class, brought Tech’s signing class to six total members on Thursday evening.

In a statement released on Twitter, the 3-star senior wrote in part, “It was important that my family got to experience what life for me would be like in my next four years of life. it is clearly apparent that my family enjoyed the visit both athletically and academically and it is obvious the INSTITUTE is my home and I don't see that anywhere else... My commitment to this program will not change."

The 6-foot, 215 pound recruit from Fort Valley, Ga. was Georgia Tech's second verbal commit of the day after Rome, Ga. athlete Tijai Whatley announced he committed to Tech on Thursday afternoon.

Jackson previously committed to the Yellow Jackets on June 4, but withdrew his commitment on June 10 citing he needed more time and rushed into the decision.
