10 Georgia Olympians competing in Rio

The 2016 Rio Olympics will feature at least 10 athletes with Georgia roots.

Among the Georgians making their Olympic debut are weightlifter Jenny Arthur of Gainesville and University of Georgia swimmers Gunnar Bentz and Jay Litherland.

Returning for her third Olympic is Lawrenceville native  Amanda Weir, who at 30 is the oldest swimmer on the U.S. women's swim team roster.

Georgia native Maya Moore is one of few players to have earned an Olympic gold medal, a world championship gold, an NCAA title and a WNBA championship. The women's baseketball team begins its defense of its 2012 Gold on Sunday, Aug. 7.
