The man of the match for Atlanta United in Saturday’s 2-1 loss at Montreal:

KENWYNE JONES

Forward

Why: He scored his first goal for the MLS expansion team with a right-footed shot in the 40th minute. He also provided an outlet for hold-up play, particularly in the second half when Atlanta United was reduced to 10 men.

Quote: "It was bittersweet obviously. We didn't get the result that we came for. Of course it's good to score your first goal. At the same time, coming in on the back of a loss it's not so well received."
