My weekly MLS Power Poll is out. As with player ratings, this is just meant to start conversation and not to be taken too seriously.

The biggest drop this week was Atlanta United. Not only did it not look good in its 3-1 loss at Vancouver, but several teams below it in last week’s poll did look good in their performances.

Here we go:

1. Toronto (8-2-5).

Last week: 1.

Result: 3-0 loss at New England.

Its eight-game win streak was snapped by the Revs, but it’s still the best team in the league.

Next game: vs. D.C. United, June 17.

-

2. Chicago (7-3-4).

Last week: 2.

Result: 0-0 draw at Orlando.

Chicago couldn’t take advantage of Orlando being down to nine men. Now, it must face a team that defeated it 4-0 in their first meeting.

Next game: vs. Atlanta United, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, UniMas.

-

3. NYCFC (7-5-3).

Last week: 4.

Result: 2-2 draw with New England on Wednesday and 2-1 win over Philadelphia.

NYCFC pulled out a win with two goals in the final 10 minutes against Philadelphia.

Next game: vs. Seattle, June 17, 1 p.m., ESPN.

-

4. Dallas (6-2-5).

Last week: 5.

Result: 6-2 win over Real Salt Lake.

Dallas tied a franchise record for goals scored in its walk against Real Salt Lake.

Next game: at Portland, 10:30 p.m. Saturday, MLS Live.

-

5. Sporting KC (7-4-4).

Last week: 7.

Result: 3-0 win over Minnesota United.

Sporting KC looked back to its old self, albeit against a depleted Loons side.

Next game: vs. Montreal, 8 p.m. Saturday, MLS Live.

-

6. Orlando (7-5-3).

Last week: 9.

Result: 2-0 win over D.C. United and 0-0 draw with Chicago.

The Lions picked up a big three points and then a character-building performance against Chicago.

Next game: vs. Montreal, June 17, 7:30 p.m., MLS Live.

-

7. Los Angeles (5-5-3).

Last week: 8.

Result: 0-0 tie at D.C. United.

The Galaxy have three consecutive wins and a tie in their last four games.

Next game: vs. Houston, June 17, 11 p.m., UniMas.

-

8. Portland (6-5-3).

Last week: 11.

Result: 2-0 win over San Jose.

The Timbers earn their first win in six games.

Next game: vs. Dallas, 10:30 p.m. Saturday, MLS Live.

-

9. Houston (7-6-2).

Last week: 10.

Result: 5-1 win over Real Salt Lake on Wednesday and 1-0 loss at Seattle.

Still dominant at home (7-0-1) and winless (0-6-1) on the road.

Next game: at L.A. Galaxy, June 17, 11 p.m., UniMas.

-

10. Columbus (7-8-1).

Last week: 14.

Result: 3-0 win over Seattle on Wednesday and 2-1 loss at Colorado.

Splitting games on the road isn’t bad…losing at Colorado isn’t great, though.

Next game: at Atlanta United, June 17, 7 p.m., Fox Sports Southeast, MLS Live.

-

11. Atlanta United (5-5-3).

Last week: 3.

Result: 3-1 loss to Vancouver.

It seems feast or famine with this team: they either play very well, or not well at all.

Next game: at Chicago, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, UniMas.

-

12. New York Red Bulls (6-7-2).

Last week: 6.

Result: 1-0 loss at Montreal.

It’s MLS, where anything can happen.

Next game: at Philadelphia, June 18, 5 p.m., ESPN.

-

13. Vancouver (6-6-1)

Last week: 15.

Result: 3-1 win against Atlanta United.

Three corner kicks led to three goals in its win against Atlanta United.

Next game: vs. Dallas, June 17, 10 p.m., MLS Live.

-

14. Seattle (5-6-4).

Last week: 16.

Result: 3-0 loss to Columbus on Wednesday and 1-0 win over Houston.

Still difficult to figure out if this team is a contender or a pretender.

Next game: at NYCFC, June 17, 1 p.m., MLS Live.

-

15. San Jose (5-6-4).

Last week: 12.

Result: 2-0 loss to Portland.

The Quakes suddenly have back-to-back losses.

Next game: vs. Sporting KC, June 17, 9p.m., MLS Live.

-

16. New England (5-5-5).

Last week: 20.

Result: 2-2 draw with NYCFC on Wednesday and 3-0 win against Toronto.

Look at that record. Isn’t it glorious? Seriously, Lee Nguyen is playing really well.

Next game: vs. Chicago, June 17, 7:30 p.m., MLS Live.

-

17. Colorado (4-8-1).

Last week: 18.

Result: 2-1 win over Columbus.

Two consecutive wins for the Rapids.

Next game: vs. Portland, June 17, 9:30 p.m., MLS Live.

-

18. Montreal (4-4-4).

Last week: 22.

Result: 2-1 win over New York Red Bulls.

Another record that makes you wonder when the season starts.

Next game: at Sporting KC, 8 p.m. Saturday, MLS Live.

-

19. D.C. United (4-7-3).

Last week: 19.

Result: 2-0 loss to Orlando on Wednesday and 0-0 tie with L.A. Galaxy.

Well, the team continues to tread water.

Next game: at Toronto FC, June 17, 7:30 p.m., MLS Live.

-

20. Minnesota United (4-8-2).

Last week: 13.

Result: 3-0 loss to Sporting KC.

Depleted Minnesota had nothing with which to challenge Sporting KC.

Next game: at Real Salt Lake, June 17, 10 p.m., MLS Live.

-

21. Philadelphia (4-6-4).

Last week: 21.

Result: 2-1 loss at NYCFC.

Philadelphia appeared to have NYCFC beaten until giving up two goals in the final 10 minutes. Has lost two consecutive.

Next game: vs New York Red Bulls, June 18, 5 p.m., ESPN.

-

22. Real Salt Lake (4-10-2).

Last week: 17.

Result: 5-1 loss to Houston on Wednesday and 6-2 loss to Dallas.

Dropping six points and allowing 11 goals kills any momentum Real Salt Lake was developing. It is now the first team to 10 losses.

Next game: vs. Minnesota United, June 17, 10 p.m., MLS Live.
