Parker Braun admitted to being tired after the Yellow Jackets offense was on the field for over 38 minutes, but Georgia Tech got the 33-7 victory over the North Carolina Tar Heels with the help of KirVonte Benson.

Benson rushed for 130 yards –– second most on the day to quarterback TaQuon Marshall –– with one touchdown. During the game Saturday, Benson averaged 7.2 yards a carry.

Out of those 130 yards, 63 came from one run, which also resulted in Benson’s only touchdown.

After Benson’s two fumbles against Pitt last week, he lost the ball again against North Carolina. On what would have been another touchdown for Georgia Tech, Benson tried to stretch the ball over the goal line and fumbled the ball in the third quarter.

However, in just four games this season, the sophomore from Marietta has 476 yards and four touchdowns.

With the win over North Carolina Saturday, Georgia improves to 3-1 overall (2-0 ACC).

Benson and the Yellow Jacket offense will be on the road against Mark Richt and Miami October 14 after an off week.
