Kennesaw State defensive back Dante Blackmon is the first Owl to be invited to an NFL rookie mini-camp.

Blackmon was invited to the Indianapolis Colts' and Atlanta Falcons' rookie mini-camp tryouts this week, according to Kennesaw State.

Blackmon, a 5-foot-11, 180 pound redshirt senior from Covington, Ga., played two seasons at Kennesaw State and could become the first Kennesaw State football player to sign with an NFL team.

A graduate of Covington’s Eastside High School, Blackmon had six interceptions and one touchdown in his final season as an Owl.
