Rain has limited playing time at the 2018 BB&T Atlanta Open as the exhibition match between reining U.S. Open Champion Sloane Stephens and runner-up Madison Keys was cancelled Sunday and two of the four round-one singles matches were delayed Monday night.

Before Stadium Court was soaked by lengthy storms, two singles matches were completed. No. 71 Lukas Lacko advanced over Prajnesh Gunneswaran 6-2, 6-2.  No. 68 Alex de Minaur forced three sets and defeated against Hubert Hurkacz 1-6, 7-6, 7-6. De Minaur will play former Georgia Bulldog and top seed John Isner Wednesday evening.

Atlanta native Donald Young and Ivo Karlovic’s match was halted midway through the second set by two extended rain delays. Karlovic had a one-game lead before the match was stopped. Ryan Harrison and James Duckworth were set to follow.
