Hawks trade Babbitt to Heat; still shopping Belinelli

The Atlanta Hawks traded forward Luke Babbitt to the Miami Heat Thursday before the trade deadline for Heat forward Okaro White.

The Hawks and Heat have announced the trade.

The eight-year veteran spent last season in Miami where played in 68 games, starting 55, and averaged 4.8 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.5 assists.

In 37 games with the Hawks this season, Babbitt started nine games, averaging 6.1 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.7 assists.

The Hawks are continuing to seek a trade for reserve shooting guard Marco Belinelli.
