With a new general manager and high roster turnover during free agency, CBS Sports’ Matt Moore isn’t optimistic about the Atlanta Hawks next season.

In his NBA Power Rankings for the 2017-2018 season, Moore ranks the Hawks last in the league at No. 30.

“Imagine if you (or me) really thought Dennis Schröder struggled to make the Hawks better last season but then realized he's their best player,” Moore wrote. “Now consider that Miles Plumlee is their third highest-paid player. Given those factors, a case could be made for any of the six preceding teams as worst in the league, but Atlanta's the bet here. The tank is on the way.”

The Hawks fell 18 spots from last year’s poll— more than any other team in the NBA.
