Hawks fans, NBA react: Warriors' Travis Schlenk to become Hawks GM
The Atlanta Hawks are close to hiring Golden State Warriors assistant general manager Travis Schlenk for the vacant general manager position in Atlanta.
Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution confirmed on Wednesday afternoon the Hawks plan to hire Schlenk and are close to a deal, but nothing has been signed yet.
I can confirm Yahoo report that Travis Schlenk will be Hawks GM once final contract details are finalized.

Schlenk spent the last 12 years with the Warriors and was an assistant coach under Ron Jursa at UGA during the 1998-1999 season.
