Georgia Yante Maten decided to enter his name into the 2017 NBA Draft, but the junior forward will not sign with an agent until he makes his final decision to forego his remaining eligibility.

The NCAA allows until May 24 to decide. The NBA Combine is held May 9-15 in Chicago, Ill.

Maten is one of two Bulldogs to start in all 34 games along with Charles Mann.

"I have always had the dream of playing in the NBA," Maten said in a statement released by Georgia. "This is a chance for me to safely see where they project me."

Maten shot .519 from the field and .488 from beyond the arc, averaging 18.2 points in his junior season.

“Like all players, Yante now has the opportunity to get information from the NBA and get an accurate read on their assessment of him at this time,” coach Mark Fox said in a statement. “Once he receives that information, Yante will be able to decide which avenue is in his best interest.”
