Georgia Tech’s sophomore running back Dedrick Mills was named to the Doak Walker Award watch list for 2017.

The Doak Walker Award recognizes the nation's top running back, and Mills is among talented company like Nick Chubb and Sony Michel of Georgia, Bo Scarbrough of Alabama, and Jacques Patrick of Florida State.

Mills led the Yellow Jackets in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns last season. He was also named to the preseason All-ACC team.

Mills and the Yellow Jackets open the season Sept. 4 in Mercedes-Benz Stadium against Tennessee.
