Former Georgia Tech coach George O’Leary to be roasted for charity

Former Georgia Tech football coach George O’Leary is expected to take part in a celebrity roast for the RisingSeniors Foundation on May 20.

O’Leary, who coached the Yellow Jackets from 1995-2001, brought Georgia Tech to four-straight bowl games and finished seven season at Tech with a 52-30 overall record.

After Georgia Tech, O’Leary was an assistant coach for the Minnesota Vikings and then head coach at UCF.

The RisingSeniors Foundation was founded by former Yellow Jacket Joe Burns to motivate student athletes to think about life after athletics.

Tickets to watch the roast of O’Leary are available online. Single tickets are $125 and a table for eight people can be purchased for $800. All proceeds go to RisingSeniors.

The event will be held at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center at 7 p.m. on May 20.
