Former Georgia receiver Malcolm Mitchell to publish three books with Scholastic

Former University of Georgia wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell has been a published author since his children’s book “The Magician’s Hat” was published in 2015.

Mitchell took the next step in his writing career on Thursday by agreeing to a three-book deal with children’s publisher Scholastic, according to the Associated Press.

The three books will be comprised of a newly illustrated edition of “The Magician’s Hat” and two additional works.

In his four season at Georgia, Mitchell recorded 2,350 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns.

Mitchell, who was drafted by the New England Patriots in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, caught for 401 yards and four touchdowns in his rookie season.
