Former Atlanta Falcons linebackers Cornelius Bennett and Tommy Nobis were named two of the greatest NFL linebackers of all time by NFL.com writer Gil Brandt.

Bennett, who played for the Falcons from 1996-1998, landed at the No. 22 spot on Brandt’s list.

Enshrined in the College Football Hall of Fame for his time at Alabama, Bennett went on to play for the Buffalo Bills and Indianapolis Colts and was selected for five Pro Bowls and one First Team All-Pro nomination. Bennett finished his 14 seasons in the NFL with 71.5 career sacks.

Former Falcons linebacker Tommy Nobis also appeared on Brandt’s list at No. 22. Nobis played for the Falcons all 11 seasons of his career from 1966-1976.
