Oct 29, 2017University of Florida quarterback Luke Del Rio tweeted that he found out about Jim McElwain’s departure on Twitter.

The quarterback who suffered a season-ending injury followed up with another response clarifying his previous tweet that claims he found out the news on Twitter.

The University of Florida released a statement Sunday that detailed the circumstances of McElwain's departure. The statement said that the Florida University Athletic Association and McElwain mutually agreed to party ways.
