Atlanta Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff landed the No. 9 spot on USA Today’s list ranking general managers around the NFL.
USA Today's Steven Ruiz writes that Dimitroff was struggling as a general manager when coach Dan Quinn took over as head coach, but the 2016 NFL Draft and offseason helped move Dimitroff up the list.
“Dimitroff managed to find five defensive starters in one draft, which helped Dan Quinn turn around what had been a bad defense for the last half-decade. Dimitroff has been inconsistent during his time in Atlanta, though, so it’s hard to put him any higher on this list.,” Ruiz wrote.
