After making it to the Super Bowl last season, the Atlanta Falcons are predicted to win the NFC South for a second-straight year.

In Sporting News' "NFC South 2017 predictions", David Steele predicted the Falcons finish the 2017 season with a 11-5 record and reclaim the NFC South title, even though the rest of the NFC South has enough talent to put up a fight.

With the NFC South sending two-straight teams to the Super Bowl, Steele wrote that calling the Falcons NFC favorites to reach Super Bowl LII isn’t unreasonable.

“Matt Ryan is the reigning MVP, but this year, save a few votes for Julio Jones, not to mention the rest of the wealth the Falcons have on offense,” Steele wrote. “No one will have a bigger spotlight on him than Steve Sarkisian, Kyle Shanahan’s replacement as offensive coordinator; the blame will land on him if the unit slips.”

Steele’s full NFC South predictions can be read below:

  1. Atlanta Falcons (11-5)
  2. Carolina Panthers (9-7)
  3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8-8)
  4. New Orleans Saints (7-9)
