The Atlanta Falcons may have ended last season on a low note, but Sports Illustrated’s Peter King has confidence the Falcons can rise up again.

King listed the Falcons at the No. 3 spot on his "Monday Morning Quarterback" list of "NFL Power Rankings: Who'll Challenge the Patriots?"

While King wrote the biggest challenge for the Falcons will be shaking off the Super Bowl loss, he doesn’t think the Falcons’ young players will hold onto February’s fourth-quarter collapse.

"On the outside we say, 'My gosh, how can any team ever come back from that?' And I don't know what Matt Ryan and Deion Jones and Keanu Neal and Julio Jones think on the inside, but I doubt it's dire. The Falcons got a career-changing season from Ryan last year, and barring a mental block post-Super Bowl, with the weapons he has, there's no reason to think this offense can't be as explosive as it was last year," King wrote.

The only team ranked ahead of the Falcons on King’s list was the Oakland Raiders.

Part two of King's list can be read below. Part one can be found on the "Monday Morning Quarterback" website.
