It must be love.

A few weeks ago, rumors were Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron and his model girlfriend were all broken up.

Now, he's worried for the safety of Katherine Webb as the Crimson Tide travel to Auburn for this weekend's rivalry matchup of Top 5 teams. An Auburn grad, she'll be cheering for Alabama and her beau. (War Eagle? Roll Tide? So hard to choose.)

If you have a "divided home" you can empathize. (Harvey Updyke would not approve.)

The Heisman Trophy contender is concerned his sweetie, an Auburn alum, is going to be harrassed as she cheers him on. (Brent Musburger, we're looking at you.)

"This is the first actual game, Iron Bowl, that I will be attending," she told USA Today. "I don't know what to expect and I'm really nervous." (Aren't you glad they asked?)

"AJ just in his protective nature, we talked about it [last week]. And he was like, 'I'm concerned. I don't know what the fans are going to do.' And I'm like, 'It's OK. I'll be sweet, genuine and nice like I always am if anything were to happen.' Even in my experience at Auburn, it's been very, very rare to see fans that have been rude or anything like that." (If you've read this far, you know you care.)

But to totally put his in perspective. Webb's interest in the game is historically faint. Webb claims she sold her student tickets to the Iron Bowl while attending Auburn because she needed the money. (Who's paying for the seats now?)

The Iron Bowl has huge implications (beyond Webb's safety) as the winner will advance to the SEC Championship game in Atlanta next week.
