Georgia fans in search of championship game tickets crash StubHub

Following the thrilling Rose Bowl victory over Oklahoma, Georgia fans rushed to ticket vendor StubHub to snatch up any tickets for the title game in Atlanta.
They weren’t cheap, hovering in the $2,000 range.

And then the overwhelming demand crashed the site.

The website was running again, with ticket prices ranging from $1,999 to $5,300.
Georgia will face Alabama in the national championship game at 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
