According to 247Sports, one of Vince Dooley’s grandsons will walk on to the Georgia Bulldogs team as a freshman next season.

John Brice of 247Sports tweeted that John Taylor “J.T.” Dooley, whose dad Derek Dooley graduated from UGA’s law school in 1994 and was a graduate assistant for the Bulldogs in 1996, will be an invited walk-on.

Earlier this month, Frank Sinkwich IV, the great-grandson of Georgia’s 1942 Heisman Trophy winner, who played at Athens Academy, announced via Twitter that he was invited to walk on at UGA. According to MaxPreps, Sinkwich is a 6-foot, 235-pound lineman.

The younger Dooley played wide receiver at Highland Park High School in Dallas, Texas, which is the alma mater of former Bulldogs quarterback Matthew Stafford. 247Sports lists J.T. Dooley at 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds.

Derek Dooley is the wide receivers coach for the Dallas Cowboys and was an assistant at SMU, located in the Highland Park area of Dallas, from 1997-99.

The quarterback on the 2016 Highland Park team was John Stephen Jones, the grandson of Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
