Watch: Paul Johnson, before Georgia Tech

Paul Johnson coached at Georgia Southern and Navy before Georgia Tech. Johnson gets the Commander in Chief's Trophy from President Bush in 2006 after Navy beat Army and Air Force. Johnson was Georgia Southern coach from 1997 to 2001. Johnson was 62-10 at Georgia Southern. Johnson coached at Navy from 2002 to 2007. undefined Johnson was 45-29 at Navy.

Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson has not changed a lot physically since he was Georgia Southern’s coach 20 years ago. His philosophy hasn’t changed much either.

Johnson has been the Jackets’ coach since 2008, following successful stints at Georgia Southern (1997-2001) and Navy (2002-2007).

He’s stressed running the football at every stop and the Jackets will try to do the same thing Saturday against rival Georgia.
