The Bulldogs will have an opportunity to avenge their dreadful 40-17 loss to Auburn this Saturday in Atlanta.

The longtime rivals will meet for the 122nd time, this occasion for the SEC championship. UGA holds the 57-56-8 all-time edge.

Georgia has faced an opponent twice only four times in its history: The Bulldogs lost to North Carolina twice in Atlanta in 1895.

In 1945, LSU defeated Georgia twice, once in Baton Rouge, La., and the other in Columbus, Ga. The Bulldogs topped Presbyterian twice in 1943 with both games in Athens.

Most recently, LSU grinded out a 17-10 win win in Baton Rouge before collecting an easy 34-17 win over Georgia in the 2003 SEC Championship.

Georgia and Auburn will play their fifth game with both in the top 10. UGA will need better fortune than its past two-time meetings to reach the College Football Playoff.
