College Football Playoff: How to watch the Allstate Sugar Bowl

No. 1 Clemson (12-1) and No. 4 Alabama (11-1) will play in the Allstate Sugar Bowl January 1, 2018 in New Orleans, La. After defeating Miami 38-3 in the ACC Championship, Clemson clinched the No. 1 spot in the College Football Playoff. The University of Alabama clinched the fourth spot Sunday.

Here are some notes on the Allstate Sugar Bowl and one of the College Football Playoff Semifinal Games:

Kickoff: Monday, January 1, 2018 at 7:45 p.m. CST (8:45 p.m. EST)

Where: Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, La.

TV: The game will be televised on ESPN starting at 7:45 p.m. CT. (8:45 p.m. EST)

Last meeting between the two College Football Playoff Semifinalists: The last meeting between Alabama and Clemson was in the 2017 CFB Playoff National Championship Game. Clemson defeated Alabama 35-31.

What to know about the Allstate Sugar Bowl: This season, the bowl game will double as a College Football Playoff Semifinal. According to the Allstate Sugar Bowl website, the 84th Sugar Bowl Classic will feature over 70,000 fans for the 62nd time.
