The Atlanta Hawks were given a D-plus by CBS Sports in their NBA offseason grades this week.

The additions of John Collins and Tyler Dorsey in the draft, Dewatne Dedmon in free agency and Marco Belinelli, Miles Plumlee and Diamond stone in trades helped the Hawks recover from losing over half of the players they ended the season with, but not enough to earn an above-average grade.

Major losses to the Hawks roster since losing in the first round of the NBA Playoffs were Paul Millsap, Dwight Howard, Tim Hardaway Jr., Thabo Sefolosha and Jose Calderon.

“New GM Travis Schenk cleaned house, taking a power washer to the books,” CBS Sports’ Matt Moore wrote. “Miles Plumlee is their third-highest-paid player. They lost a lot of talent. They still don't have a reliable young core and Dennis Schröder is their best player. The tank is on."

SportsLine predicted the Hawks will win 33.2 games next season and have a 10.3 percent chance at making the playoffs.

All 30 of CBS Sports' offseason grades can be read on CBS Sports' website.
