The Hawks have signed forward Luke Babbitt to a one-year deal, according to a report by ESPN.

The free-agent played last season for the Heat and averaged 4.8 points, 2.1 rebounds and 15.7 minutes in 68 games. The 28-year old is a veteran of seven NBA seasons and has also played for the Trail Blazers and Pelicans. He has career averages of 4.7 points and 2.3 rebounds.

Babbitt was the 16th overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft

The move gives the Hawks 14 players under contract for next season. Diamond Stone was waived earlier this week. The team intends to sign a third point guard this offseason.
